Forum Rules

Major Infractions (These will result in an immediate ban):
1) Offering to buy or sell any virtual item in exchange for real world currency.
2) Advertising in any shape or form.
3) Uploading or linking to any harmful or malicious program.
4) Linking to inappropriate material with the intent to deceive or mislead.
5) Asking for a KSSN

Minor Infractions (These will result in a warning):
1) Not following standard conventions of the English language when writing in English. This includes replacement of words by letters and numbers ("ur" instead of "your", "2" instead of "to") and failure to follow standard rules for punctuation, capitalization, and sentence structure.
2) Posting a reply with little or no relationship to the thread or content.
3) Starting a topic without a descriptive title. (ie, "A few questions" or "What do you think?")
4) Posting multiple threads with very similar or identical topics.
5) Inappropriate language in the context of the thread.
6) Color and font tags used for purely decorative purposes. They are to be used only to enhance readability.
7) Flaming, or participating in any flame war. Flame posts will be deleted immediately, and all parties involved issued a warning.

After 2 standing warnings*, any infraction thereafter will result in a permanent ban.
*A warning expires after 30 days, so it is possible to have more than 2 and not be banned.

Guidelines (No warnings will be issued, these are just suggestions):
1) Do not start topics with topics similar to an existing topic.
2) Do not post vague questions. Remember that the usefulness of replies is always directly proportional to how specific a question is.
3) Do not link to an external site without quoting the relevant text, in particular the GPotato forum and other Rappelz fansites.
4) Avoid abbreviations. They impede understanding and make conversations extremely confusing for new people to the game.
5) Do not respond to threads or posts that are clearly major infractions. These posts, and all responses, will be removed.

Marketplace Rules
1) All posts in the marketplace forums are automatically deleted after three days with no reply.
2) Topic titles should begin with the intended action ([Buying], [Selling], [Price Check], etc.)
3) Once a transaction is completed, leave a reply stating as much.

Notes (Not rules, just things you should know about the forum):
1) All users are strongly encouraged to upload or select an avatar.
2) There is no indicator to indicate topics have been split or merged and the icon for moved topic is seldomly used. Double check your posts before complaining.
3) Any PM in the outbox has not been received by the recipient. Removing it will prevent it from ever being delivered. Once your message has been received, it is automatically sent to the sentbox.

In light of some recent negative activity, a new rule has been added. Look to number 7 under "Minor Infractions". In addition, the rules have been updated to notify the end-user about warnings and expands upon the policy behind bans.
